The INVENTOR'S WORKSHOP

In the Inventor’s Workshop, you can research and upgrade your defensive fortification technologies. By upgrading the technology, you are able to strengthen your line of defense and protect your kingdom and its treasure.

Functions:

The Inventor's Workshop is home to the craftspeople who research technologies to strengthen your towers and traps. At Level 1, this structure makes the Barricade and Arrow Tower available for initial defense. Upgrading the Inventor's Workshop unlocks stronger and more sophisticated defense technologies. Each technology's construction plan must be upgraded in order to advance a tower or trap by three more levels each time.

TIPS

The overall strategy with regards to the Inventor's Workshop is to upgrade it to max level and have each construction plan at Level 3. However, reaching Level 3 for the construction plans means your hero has reached between Level 40 and 50, so it indeed takes a long way to develop a strong defense you can leave even with hundreds of thousands of gold in your Treasure Chamber.

Commonly, Barricades are disregarded once the Blockade is unlocked. However, the latter trap (both the structure itself and the construction plan) is expensive to upgrade. So, the technique is to have a few Level 9 Barricades and Spikes in addition to Level 6 Blockades (the farthest you can go if your hero is Level 40-something since the Blockade's Level 3 construction plan costs a million!).

When it comes to towers, construction plans are maxed for the Bomb Tower and the Gargoyle Tower. These two create the most distraction amongst all towers in the game. Construction plans for higher-level towers are expensive to upgrade, so these towers--Firebolt Tower, Snake Tower, Skull Tower--normally stay at Level 1. Players just decide to erect more of these costly towers instead of raising their level.

Amongst all towers, the Frost Tower is categorically the easiest to take down. With most players using Firestorm and Pyromancers, the construction space for this tower is not worth it. Instead, players opt to damage enemies with bombs and arrows, while deploying Frosters to freeze enemies in lieu of Frost Towers.

Do you think it is still useful to have Arrow Towers and Barricades once you reach Level 40? What is your strategy when it comes to upgrading towers and their construction plans? Don't hesitate to share them below!
