Frost Tower

The Frost Tower uses highly eruptive dry ice, which is especially effective against mechanical units and the Pyromancer.
Royal Revolt 2 Frost Tower
Functions:

The Frost Tower is arguably the weakest and most relegated defense tower in the game. At Level 6, it unleashes eruptive dry ice that deals enemies within its 2.7 range with 61 ice damage. What little damage it causes compared with the Arrow Tower and Bomb Tower, however, it makes up for with the status effect it incurs: Enemies who get close by become slower and have reduced attack frequency, making it effective against Knights and Paladins. The Frost Tower, third to be unlocked, is heavily affected by blunt and fire damage, making it useless against long-range Cannons and Pyromancers.

TIPS

Because of its inherent weakness, the Frost Tower is easily replaced, usually by the fourth-unlocked Gargoyle Tower which at Level 1 has an incredibly huge health of 4,950 (a Frost Tower at Level 6 only has 3,520 health). But Frost Towers still provide a useful status effect that prevents enemies from reaching the Castle Gate quickly. Placed correctly and supported well, this tower can become an invaluable defense structure for players who specialize in freeze. Imagine having only Frost Towers, Blockades, and Frosters—this is definitely an interesting defense to try to reduce enemies’ movements to a crawl.

The best way to use Frost Towers is to place well-upgraded Spikes in front of them. Also, fast-firing towers like the Firebolt Tower and the Skull Tower must be placed nearby to quickly kill enemies that try to take down the Frost Tower.

In a paperclip path design, a Frost Tower must be located at the bend (with Spikes in front), still reachable by the range of other more damaging towers. Put a Blockade next to the Frost Tower to stall enemies so they will be heavily damaged by other towers.

A rather risky way of using Frost Towers (if you rely on them too much and like their freeze effect a lot) is to make sure that the Pyromancers and Cannons they are weakest against can be killed fast. To pull this off, you have to raise strong Frosters and assign hordes of them in the defense waves. Support them with Arblasters and Mortars.

There are obvious downsides to this strategy, though. First, Frosters are easy to kill with Swordrain and Firestorm; they are also no match against arrow shooters and fire-casters. But if you distract enemies enough with robust Paladins as well as the two mentioned supports, you will be able to take advantage of the freeze effect of Frost Towers and Frosters.
