Blockade

A Blockade is made out of steel and is stronger than a Barricade. It is also more resistant against fire. Use Blockades together with towers to hit the intruders hard.

Functions:

The Blockade is the most efficient delaying trap in the game. At Level 5, it stands robust with a health of 5,180. Weak to ice and blunt damage, this trap is heavily damaged by Frosters and Bladestorm. But without the mentioned unit and spell, Blockades are really tough to destroy.

TIPS

There is only one best way to use a Blockade: Put it before ranged towers (Arrow Tower, Bomb Tower, Firebolt Tower, Skull Tower) to stall enemies from advancing while damaging them. If you assign long-ranged units to your defending waves, then your enemies will be heavily damaged every time they need to destroy every Blockade in the way.

Set Spikes in front of Blockades to double-damage troops closing in. This strategy is highly effective against Knights. If you place a Gargoryle Tower next to this trap, then it will consume a lot of your enemies' time.

To weaken enemies using Cannons to bring down Blockades, then assign Frosters, Pyromancers, and Arblasters to your defending waves. Cannons are weak against all troops and will be dead in no time.

Some players leverage on the huge health of Blockades and Gargoyle Towers to waste an enemy's time. In combination with Pyromancers, these two structures create a formidable defense.
