Bomb Tower

Bomb Towers have good defense capabilities and are most effective against big armies. Their weak spot lies in army using their own bombs against them, so they are best placed together with other defense buildings.

Functions:

The Bomb Tower is the most distracting tower in the game. Although slow-firing, this tower deals considerable blunt damage to enemies within the radius of its exploding bomb. However, the type of damage it deals is also its weakness, so the Bomb Tower can easily be taken down by Paladins and Cannons. Its other weakness is that its bombs can be thrown back, causing self-damage, but here it serves its alternative function of distracting the King between protecting his units from the bombs or attacking defenders and defense structures.

TIPS

Placed in clusters, Bomb Towers can turn their weakness into a great advantage. Multiple bombs coming down can provide enough distraction to the King that he will be unable to throw all of them back. Therefore, there is a huge chance for a group of Bomb Towers to deplete the health of an army composed of Archers, Frosters, Pyromancers, and Arblasters.

Like other shooting towers, Bomb Towers must be protected by Barricades or Blockades. Close-range towers with huge health like Gargoyle Towers and Snake Towers are better placed next to Bomb Towers, again to cause time-consuming distraction. With a range of 6.7, they are effective in any path formation, especially one that allows their ranges to coincide. They are also a good support to the Castle Gate, killing enemies in groups and putting the King in a predicament if he has no Heal or Shield spells.

Since Bomb Towers are weak to blunt damage caused by Paladins and Cannons, defenders composed of Paladins, Pyromancers, Mortars, and Arblasters are necessary to make them last longer. Upgrade these towers to Level 6 so they have a health of 4,530, difficult enough to deplete if the attackers are composed of element users and arrow shooters.

Because of the distraction they cause, Bomb Towers are not quickly replaced even though players have unlocked the last three towers. But when they do build any of these towers, they ensure to retain Bomb Towers instead of Arrow Towers or Frost Towers. Quick-firing Firebolt Towers are best paired with Bomb Towers because of the panic they cause to enemies.

Do you have a particularly ingenious placement for Bomb Towers? Do you think three of these towers are better than one Skull Tower? Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and tactics below
