The Skull Tower is the crowning achievement of our research and development. It is the ultimate defensive building with the strongest armor and deadliest obstacle from intruders to overcome.
Functions:
The Skull Tower, both destructive
and distracting, is the last defensive tower to get unlocked. As an upgrade of
the Bomb Tower, the Skull Tower shoots multiple bombs at a time over a 5-range
area. With a Level 1 health of 6,050, this tower gives a significant
contribution to a kingdom’s defense, both by deterring enemies from attacking
and by being immune to several damage types. Despite its formidable qualities,
the Skull Tower is weakest against the ice damage of Frosters and the Blizzard
spell.
TIPS
Skull Towers are usually used in
combo with fast-shooting Firebolt Towers. Their mere strength and destructive
attack allow non-specific placement; however, they can last longer if protected
by well-upgraded Blockades.
Resilient to most kinds of
attack, the Skull Tower can benefit from the time defenders can buy to help it
stand longer. Paladins, Archers or Arblasters, Pyromancers, and Mortars offer
the best complementary defense combo. The robust Paladins will be able to keep
enemies occupied while being attacked by the arrow and fire-shooters from a
safe distance; the Mortars will be able to weaken the enemies as a group.
Taking down a Skull Tower can be
tricky—especially with assaulting long-range defenders—but it is still possible
without getting killed first. Since this tower is likely placed with a Blockade
in front, destroy this trap first while your Firestorm or Blizzard or Sonic Blast is in cooldown. (Take note that it is important to have the Heal spell
when raiding a base with higher-level towers.) Once the trap is taken down and
the spell is usable, stand next to the Skull Tower for a focused attack. Do
this trick for every Skull Tower there is, standing back outside the tower’s
range and getting close only once the spell is available.
Unit-wise, the best recruits for
a raid of a Skull Tower-laden base are the Cannons, Paladins, and Archers or
Arblasters. The Cannons provide the biggest long-range damage; the
arrow-shooters protect the vulnerable Cannons; and the Paladins can stay with you
in fighting close-combatants from the defenders’ side. Remember: Spawn the
Cannon and Archer or Arblaster alternately. And cry the hero’s shout every time
it becomes available, followed by a cast of the Heal spell.
How do you take most advantage of the Skull Tower’s powerful
defense-offense ability? What defender combinations do you employ to ensure it
kills enemies first before it is taken down? Don’t hesitate to share your
tactics, whether to help others or bluff them!
