The TROOP ACADEMY

The Troop Academy is the place where you upgrade your units to create a stronger offensive force. By upgrading your Troop Academy, you can investigate new unit types, which will help you to enhance your army.
Functions:

The Troop Academy serves as the training ground for your units. It is the second most expensive building to upgrade next to the Throne Room, which equates to the importance of troops in having a solid defense.

Nestled within an inner wall inside the castle, the Troop Academy trains eight different kinds of units. At Level 1, this structure unlocks the Knight and allows up to two levels for this unit. For every upgrade of the Troop Academy, more levels and units become available.

TIPS

The unlock order of the troops is made such way so that the basic close-range units become considerably stronger before the long-rangers are unlocked. This way, players can decide to specialize in having close-range fighters and devise special tactics using this kind of units. It is only when the long-rangers are unlocked when players start to diversify their battle strategies.

The importance of having cheap units to deploy cannot be stressed enough. Knights and Paladins are great at destroying towers and traps and move fast along the path. When faced with Frosters and Pyromancers, Archers are essential to provide long-range damage and assist close-rangers.

To defeat units with high health such as Pyromancers and Paladins, fast-shooting Arblasters are the best to use. In combination with Mortars, they create a legitimate killing team, since the Arblaster will be able to provide cover for the Mortars, which are weak against ice and fire damage as well as tower attacks.

Destroying buildings is fastest using Cannons. However, they are weak against all troops, especially Pyromancers. So, it is best to spawn them only after calling an army of shooters, slashers, and smashers. Cannons should always stay at the rear and need the most cover to stay alive.

Which troops do you employ for the base strength of your offense? Have you decided to use ice and fire elements, brute force, or sly shooting tactics? Don't hesitate to share your battle knowledge below!
