Hammerstrike

The Hammerstrike is effective against both units and buildings. Always a useful addition to a more specialized pool of spells.
Royal Revolt 2 Hammerstrike
Functions:

The first spell to be unlocked, the Hammerstrike gives instantaneous blunt damage to buildings and units within its 2.4 range. A cooldown of only seven seconds—the fastest in the game—is its top quality, allowing the hero to recast it while other offensive spells are in cooldown.

When upgraded well, the Hammerstrike is a strong spell that is most effective against Bomb Towers and Snake Towers. Unit-wise, this spell can kill groups of Cannons and low-level troops in one strike. Although it has a small area of effect, the spell can hit two or more adjacent structures if cast properly. Its blunt damage is also effective against the Castle Gate.

TIPS

The greatest advantage of equipping the Hammerstrike is the ability to use it more often and instantly. Thus, cast it right away after positioning your hero next to a Barricade or Blockade, or upon a set of Spikes. You can also launch it next to adjacent towers. Timing is quite unnecessary since the spell becomes available again after only seven seconds.

Since the Hammerstrike inflicts damage to both units and towers, it is a dependable all-rounder. But if you are attacking a castle with hordes of Knights and Paladins, pair this spell with the Toxic Cloud. However, if the defenders are composed mainly of long-rangers, equip the Swordrain as well.

If your Stun lasts for seven seconds, then the Hammerstrike-Stun-Hammerstrike combo is a good strategy; Hammerstrike will be able to recharge and be recast without incurring damage on your part within the seven-second window.

On your offensive army, recruit Cannons and Paladins to complement the blunt damage of the Hammerstrike. And then choose the third troop depending on the defensive plan of your enemy: Pyromancers against Arrow Towers and Firebolt Towers; Frosters against Blockades and Skull Towers; and Archers and Arblasters against all others kinds of traps and towers.

Upgraded to the maximum Level 14, the Hammerstrike deals 1,399 blunt damage, which makes it a powerful spell to complement the Sonic Blast and the Heal spells. With its cheap upgrade cost, it also lets you accomplish a quest that asks for at least one Level 10 spell.

Do you prefer a well-upgraded Hammerstrike than a low-level Bladestorm? Which do you think is more effective against both troops and towers? Share your thoughts, whether to help or bluff others!
